Our clients could have hundreds—maybe even thousands of promotions—to plan and keep track of. That’s a fairly huge task, unless of course they have got the right tools to keep them organised and well planned.

At Nielsen, we have just the tools that clients need to put in a prime position to design, execute and track the best promotional programmes for every category, in every account.

PnP can quantify both regular and promoted price elasticity and the effect that in-store merchandising has on sales for every product across the key supermarket chains. We then provide a comprehensive, end-to-end application suite that lets you plan, execute, monitor and evaluate promotion plans for every retail account in every category.

We use the best available data to build robust models to predict promotional impact. These models drive best-in-class applications for strategic promotion planning, tactical trade promotion optimisation, trade promotion management, execution monitoring and post-event analysis.

PnP will optimise client’s planning process and ensure that the insights from the analysis are translated into real in-store programmes and have a meaningful impact on client’s bottom line.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Serve as Project Lead for the PnP projects to ensure that all project related tasks are performed efficiently
  • Deliver quality analysis to client with support of senior member of the team, with greater level of independence and confidence.
  • Guide the team in anticipating key client issues and regularly offers suggestions on how our data can help.
  • Ensure deliverables required are delivered on time and on quality for all assigned projects.
  • Multitasking and attention to details. Being able to manage multiple client projects at the same time.
  • Deliver insights, outcomes and added value to the client, whilst working closely with senior members of the team.
  • Having the ability to form strong internal relationships and network in order to have more opportunities to collaborate.
  • Develops deep product and application. Understand strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats faced by key market players.
  • Able to help revenue teams with Thought leadership articles and cross category/market learnings.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities for improvements, working with other market analytics contacts to bring in best in class practices from other markets. Being able to work with Regional/Global product leadership teams to implement new solutions in our region.
  • Working closely with senior members of the teams in defining service level and analytical priorities.
  • Acting as role model for Nielsen values in terms of openness to share and collaborate, working with integrity and being an engaged employee.
  • Being able to lead company activities and projects proactively, and able to encourage involvement & participation from the team.
  • Develop a high performing team environment by coaching team members and by removing barriers that derails the team in delivering on their work.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

University degree required or equivalent business experience in statistics, mathematics, economics, marketing, business

4 – 8 years of relevant experience in modeling/analytics

Knowledge of market research industry, statistics and multivariate analysis an advantage

Passionate about building client relationships and delivering insights

Experience in understanding client’s needs and identifying their issues

Organized and able to multitask through numerous projects

Knowledge of Nielsen products

Ability to work cross functionally

Willingness to travel within region

Excellent communication skills, ability to read other’s styles and adapt behaviour accordingly

Highly proficient in spreadsheet and presentation software

Fluent in English. Any other language will be considered an asset
