The New Business Development Manager will direct and manage all business development activities for Nielsen Innovation and identify client needs to maximize sales opportunities in Philippines. The associate will be primarily accountable for bringing in new business and coordinate with other teams to drive seamless delivery to clients.  The associate will report to the New Business Development Leader for South East Asia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End to End Sales Leadership
  • Develop the Nielsen Innovation Practice business in Philippines
  • Aggressively pursue, prospect and develop new business opportunities from existing and potential FMCG clients
  • Research the industry, client organizations and individuals in order to generate leads
  • Convert leads to sales by engaging potential clients in meaningful discussions
  • Promote Nielsen and generating demand through presentations at conferences and similar external events
  • Own and deliver the revenue target and maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ensure efficient sales management, leverage Salesforce.com and coordinate the proposal process to ensure all deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Create and follow-up on annual operating plans
  • Understand the Nielsen portfolio and inter-connectivity of different solutions

 

Building Relationships: 

  • Earning Client Trust & Understanding Client Needs
  • Independently build and maintain strong networks with key players at the client.
  • Lead discussions with a wide range of decision influencers.
  • Expand network at clients and expand client portfolio (breadth and depth of relationship).
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the industry & innovations in the industry
  • Successfully link Nielsen capabilities to client goals to overcome barriers to purchase.
  • Reviews teams’ recommendations and attends results presentation to ensure alignment and understanding of client objectives.

 

Team Collaboration:

Working collaboratively with Client Service, Practice Area, Retail Audit, Consumer Insights, and Operations teams to ensure all work is connected to client business issues and delivered on-time, with a focus on outcomes.

 

   KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-8 years’ experience in FMCG sector in marketing, research or business development
  • Expert in consultative selling
  • Ability to managing a complex B2B sales process
  • Strong negotiator and influencer
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong professional networks and relationships
  • Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment
  • Excellent client-facing and communication/presentation skills
  • Financial understanding (e.g. P&L, EBITDA) and how this relates to business success
  • Excellent business English, both verbal and written
  • Solid problem solving skills, solutions oriented and excellent analytical skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong collaborator
  • Self-driven and ability to thrive in a challenging environment
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field.
