Nielsen’s US Panel Product team is looking for a skilled professional to join as a Product Manager.


A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU:

As the Product Manager, you have experience in an Agile environment, leveraging data to drive technology solutions and are hungry to learn. You are a Leader who is collaborative, positive, and driven. You are confident in your roadmapping abilities, and are able to pivot to changes as needed with your team. You have product management experience, are familiar with the TV and Audio Audience Measurement area, and are not only passionate about the products you are leading but also about helping the team you are working with be as successful as possible. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Driving collaboration with Data Science, Technology and Operations, defining strategy, determine product roadmaps, and execute on deliverables for US Panel

    • Own product discovery and prioritization

    • Define new product concepts and features

    • Understand the business requirements, align with the product roadmaps and partner with Technology Product Owners to develop user stories based on user experience research & input

    • Create business cases and conduct return on investment analyses for new features

    • Manage execution and delivery of features and requirements in backlog

    • Regularly review the landscape and analyze User and Panelist feedback to improve product features and capabilities

    • Manage relationships with third party consultants to enable delivery

 

  • Evangelize product with internal stakeholders and clients

    • Assume responsibility as subject matter expert on the Wearables product for: Commercial teams, Product Marketing, Tech/Ops/Engineering, Data Science, external partners, Clients, etc. 

    • Provide product domain expertise on product strategy, technical implementation, and operational process

    • Effectively communicate product status and progress to leadership and stakeholders


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 2 years of Product / Program Management experience, or 2 years + experience in TV, Digital or Audio Panels

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ensuring clarity is a key success factor for this role.  

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams. 

  • Experience managing midsize to large projects with multiple stakeholders, identifying key milestones, risks and assumptions, and measuring success. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

 

 DESIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • Familiarity with program-level financial management

  • Understanding of marketing / media analytics, including domain expertise in any of the following areas would be a plus, but are not required for the successful candidate

    • Audience measurement and Targeting (e.g. reach and frequency measurement, audience segmentation, programmatic activation) 

    • Marketing effectiveness measurement (e.g. attribution measurement, marketing mix modeling, sales lift measurement) 

 

  • Technical knowledge of cross-platform media / behavior measurement technologies and data, including any of the following: 

    • Media panels and consumer research 

    • Familiarity with statistical modeling / machine learning techniques 

    • Familiarity with Atlassian, JIRA, Google Suite, or other Agile Performance Tools
