ROLE: Research Analyst

As a Research Analyst on the Gracenote Content Analytics team, you will
execute custom analytics projects making insights and recommendations on content development,
acquisition and licensing for Streaming Services, Television Networks, Content Sellers and Content
Creators. The Research Analyst will be part of a fast-paced product team
responsible for working with salespeople, business analysts, and data scientists to identify
opportunities, create proposals, execute projects and consult with clients to answer their business
questions. Additionally, the Analyst will have the opportunity to assist in developing and managing
existing products and new product ideas for Gracenote Content Analytics.

● Create detailed research analyses focused on Consultative Analytics and Optimization for
Content Acquisition, Content Development, and Content Licensing
● Consult on the correct analytic approach(es) to evaluate business questions in the Content
● Work directly with internal delivery teams to procure the correct data necessary for analyses
● Collaborate cross-functionally with salespeople, product managers, data scientists, and
analysts to design projects, win proposals, validate data, mine insights and deliver reports
that satisfy clients
● Investigate / raise questions when issues are discovered and proactively work to help find
the root cause and resolve them
● Contribute new ideas on tackling a wide range of business questions, both for custom
projects and syndicated products


● Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Media, Marketing or other related fields
● 2-3 years experience in Media research preferred
● Knowledge of the content landscape a plus
● Strong Project Management skills a must
● Strong interpersonal skills required
● Very strong quantitative, data tabulation, analytic thinking and insight mining skills
● Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite of products (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
● Strong written communication skills
● Ability to deliver under deadlines
● Effective organizational skills and ability to multi-task
● Close attention to detail

● Eager to learn and develop skills
