The In-House Paralegal is a key player in the day-to-day operation of the legal team and primarily is supervised by an attorney and/or Sr. Paralegal. This individual is responsible for working with stakeholders during all stages of corporate transactions to support compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations when conducting business activities.




  • Assist with preparation and drafting of licenses, contracts, agreements, working closely with sales, client service, contract administration, paralegals, and lawyers.
  • Assist with drafting and updating contract templates and related legal, compliance, and corporate governance records.
  • Assist with contract research.
  • Assist with contract term negotiation with clients and provide assistance, as needed, to attorneys and paralegals. 
  • Assist with the management of document review processes, including preparing and reviewing comments and redlines, seeking internal feedback, and incorporating modifications and amendments as appropriate. 
  • Support due diligence efforts.
  • Seek knowledge of applicable standards and best practices, and monitor developments to assist with compliance efforts. 
  • Update and maintain department reports and database systems as assigned by attorneys and paralegals.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree required or Associate’s degree with relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Interest in pursuing a career as a paralegal, contract manager, or continuing his/her education in law school. 
  • Will work closely with experienced paralegals and attorneys to learn to be a paralegal.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to handle pressure, and understand the importance of deadlines and handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong people skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels and in all areas of the organization.
  • Exercises good judgment and recognizes when to ask for help or escalate issues. 
  • Demonstrates strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general database management).
