We are looking for a Manager or Director level candidate to join the team. The Manager/Director, Client Solutions is a member of an account team dedicated to one of Nielsen’s major television/digital clients. The scope of the client service function ranges from contract negotiating, in-bound calls addressing ratings and advertising data inquiries, understanding consumer viewership behaviors across screens, and maintaining knowledge of Nielsen’s product mechanics and roadmap. In this role, the Manager/Director, Client Solutions will have ownership of certain clients and associated revenue/upsell within the account. The role provides the opportunity to develop long-term, deep relationships in driving both account management and business development for a small set of clients. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated track record in: driving commercial, solutions-oriented growth, building and honing key relationships both internally and externally, delivering robust presentations and client communications, adapting to the needs of a dynamic, ever-changing environment, and developing key contacts in the media industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership within the client vertical/team to develop a comprehensive and achievable strategic plan for the business within a client account.
  • Maintain and manage a revenue pipeline.
  • Build trust-based relationships with senior leaders at the client; strive to independently build deeper and wider relationships within and across client organization by building a comprehensive understanding of client and marketplace and leveraging prior experience and client service acumen.
  • Present opportunities to help clients grow our business through consultative selling and solid negotiating skills; grow revenue through sales of incremental products within an established account.
  • Conduct client meetings to build and maintain relationships.
  • Act as an internal champion for the client by working collaboratively with internal partners and the team to coordinate efforts for clients where appropriate: case resolution management, usage reporting, contract renewals and amendments, and other support tasks.
  • Engage in project management for analytics projects or data inquiries.
  • Articulate an excellent understanding of each product and solution, and how the data can be used to improve business performance.
  • Attend client- and industry-specific meetings.
  • Indirectly manage the project work and the mentoring of more junior talent on the team.
  • Engage in other responsibilities as needed including on-site servicing at the client.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ client service experience with specific experience within Media (TV & Digital)
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Understand media analytics in a way that you can easily communicate with clients
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of the marketplace
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Analytic skills
  • Knowledge of TV/Digital Industries
  • Knowledge of Nielsen’s products and solutions
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, highly motived, strong orientation toward client relationships
  • Strong analysis and presentation experience
  • Persuasive negotiation skills to ensure client needs are well balanced internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts into concise yet informative messaging for clients
  • Ability to handle pressure, juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and work well with a diverse customer base and various internal teams
