ABOUT THIS JOB

Sales Lead plays a significant role in connecting our teams to our clients, driving change with insights and measurable global impact. At Nielsen, Sales Experts are known as trusted partners to their clients and industry experts to their colleagues. You will have the opportunity to build relationships and work with a number of Nielsen’s key clients, enabling you to broaden your business knowledge, further develop your commercial acumen and drive revenue. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for revenue forecasting and OP planning: reviewing historical performance, creating revenue scenarios, aligning with other services leaders and client relationship owners, approving with leadership (Market Leader) & consulting with regional Sales Effectiveness (SEff) Leaders; creating sales plans and business reviews, cascading targets within their teams (if applicable) after aligning with the leadership team
  • Account planning: drafting the internal business plan, aligning objectives with the clients, aligning with internal stakeholders (Analytics lead, Retailer lead, Market Leader and regional SEff Leaders), reviewing the progress on a quarterly basis and following-up on objectives/actions implementation
  • Selling Nielsen services to existing clients: 1) proactive selling (service scope extension and/or new services), 2) selling through clients’ direct request or from leads identified during presentation to clients
  • Selling Nielsen services to new Clients: retailers and manufacturers: Identifying the opportunity and liaising with Analytics experts to evaluate the business opportunity; developing selling materials & presentations together with the Analytics team; contacting clients for presenting our capabilities and generating briefs; creating proposal document, proposal sign-off and negotiation process with the client
  • Seek collaborative opportunities, both internally and externally by working across teams at Nielsen
  • Attending events/conferences; representing the company as speakers at events / conferences of FMCG-industry profile
  • Driving sales campaigns by: Identifying the product trigger and targeted audience; Developing the campaign materials; Communicating to clients, preparing and delivering proposals; Campaign forecasting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous corporate experience in sales, preferably in FMCG industry 
  • Professional background in trade marketing or shopper marketing would be an advantage
  • Excellent client-facing and communication/presentation skills
  • Business acumen and good knowledge of the market dynamics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong understanding of solution/consultative selling
  • Excellent analytical skills & passion for analyzing data trends
  • To be an enthusiastic team player, capable of working proactively
  • Experience in collaborating on projects, and maintaining positive client relationships in complex situations
  • Proven experience successfully meeting sales revenues and targets
  • Polished, persuasive communication skills with experience in group presentations and proposal writing
